High school bands represent their schools, pep up the crowds at sporting events, and provide their members a group to belong to and a place to fit in. I was in band and played the clarinet. I remember our band director also telling us that the band was something to come out and see when the team was having a rough year–at least you knew the half time show would be good! 🙂
I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of hard work that goes into putting together a high school band. I do know that my FAVORITE part has always been the drumline. I remember our high school drumline coming out and completely rocking our stadium during football games and pep rallies. It was amazing.
